A sanctuary for those who care
At 7CS Respite Center in Wadesville, Indiana, our mission is to offer free retreats and heartfelt education that restore the body, mind, and spirit of devoted caregivers, empowering them to return home with renewed peace and strength.
Born from family love and personal devotion

When life brought unexpected changes, I made the deeply personal decision to care for my parents at home rather than choosing a nursing facility. At age 50, I moved in with them, and earned a master's degree in health care administration to better serve their needs. Following their peaceful passing, I felt called to transform their cherished home into a haven for others. Today, this peaceful estate features an indoor pool and a contemplative prayer path dedicated to lifting up tired caregivers.
The meaning behind the name 7CS Respite Center
The name 7CS is deeply rooted in our family heritage. Originally inspired by my mother, the 'C' represents our father and siblings whose names all begin with the letter C, while the 'S' honors our mother. What began as a loving tribute to the home and parents who shaped our lives has evolved into a profound spiritual foundation guiding our mission.
Today, the name holds a sacred significance. The 7 reflects the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by our seven guiding C principles: care, compassion, competency, courage, consistency, commiseration, and our Catholic faith, the 'S' represents the blessing of sharing, extending our family sanctuary and resources freely to caregivers in need of renewal.

Restoring caregivers body, mind, and spirit
Caregiving requires immense emotional and physical resilience. By opening this space for rest, gentle recreation, and spiritual refreshment, we ensure that selfless caregivers receive the same tenderness they give every day. Whether you are seeking a peaceful retreat for yourself or looking to support our free sanctuary through generous donations, you are always welcome here.
"Caring for loved ones is one of the highest callings in life, but even the strongest hearts need a quiet place to heal and recharge."
